Looking at the photographic highlights of day two of the 2017 Honda Quest. The Quest convoy settled down in the camp at Palmwag in the heart of the Damaraland. Tomorrow the ten two-person teams will head for the town of Opuwo, the capital of the Kaokoland.
Damaraland is one of the most scenic areas in Namibia, a huge, untamed, ruggedly beautiful region that offers an adventurous challenge. The Quest convoy caught sight of open plains and grassland, massive granite koppies, deep gorges and endless sandy wastes. Incredibly, these areas are able to sustain small, but wide-ranging, populations of desert-elephant, black rhino, giraffe, ostrich and springbok.
